The Royal Canadian Navy has taken delivery of the new tug CNAV Canso.
Built by Industrie Océan at their Ile-aux-Coudres shipyard, it arrived in Halifax in December and has now completed acceptance trials and has been assigned the pennant number YTB 652
As a Canadian Navy Auxiliary Vessel (CNAV) it has a civilian crew, and will operate from HMC Dockyard in Halifax. A sister tug, to be named Stella Maris will be delivered next year.
